Patricia J. Garcia, MD, MPH

Patricia J. Garcia, MD, MPH (Faculty Mentor; Peru Site Director) is Professor and Dean of the School of Public Health at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia and Director of the UPCH HIV/STD Epidemiology Research Group. Dr. Garcia’s research employs a multidisciplinary approach to HIV and STI control that incorporates epidemiology, behavioral prevention, biomedical prevention, and public health systems management to address issues of HIV and STI transmission in Peru.
